Hero Forgotten is a short novel about a clairvoyant named Abby who works with the police in an unofficial capacity to help solve difficult cases. She is being haunted by a woman who was killed in an accident while her husband was deployed overseas two years prior. It’s now the day of what would have been their anniversary and the spirit has a premonition that her husband will be at the new age/occult shop where Abby does palm readings at a specific time. Between the machinations of the ghost and Abby’s meddling brother, sparks fly when she meets Kent, the handsome widower. But can a whirlwind romance last?
I would like to start off by saying that I received this book free of charge through NetGalley for an honest review. The story was short, sweet, and chock full of hot and heavy love scenes. I think my biggest complaint was that it was too short and ended a bit abruptly for my taste. It felt like there should have been a lot more to the story. Hopefully there will be more detail in the following books of this series. Other than that, it was a pretty good read and I would recommend it to fans of the genre.
