Rose Petal Graves

Rose Petal GravesRose Petal Graves by Olivia Wildenstein
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Rose Petal Graves is a romantic fantasy story of a young woman named Catori (Cat for short) whose mother has just died under mysterious circumstances after having exhumed a strange coffin from a gravesite that had been compromised. From Cat’s initial examination of the casket, it was seemingly filled with only fresh rose petals – no evidence of a body. Cruz, the medical examiner that shows up to determine cause of death, is obviously hiding something and Cat has every intention of getting to the bottom of it. Now the Fae enter into the equation along with her sudden ability to see through their glamours, not to mention there is the sudden appearance of a strange relative at her mother’s funeral. One that Cat doesn’t remember ever having met before and everything becomes all the more confusing…and dangerous. Will she ever find out the truth behind her mother’s death? Or the extent of the power lurking within herself?

I would first like to state that I received this free through NetGalley for an honest review. This was a charming story full of suspense, magic, and mystery. The characters were likeable and well-developed and the storyline engaging from page one. I am definitely curious to see where things will go in the next book of this series. Yes, it does end on a cliffhanger, but the story was good enough that it will be well worth the wait for the sequel.
