Outlaw Justice is a short but sweet romantic thriller. The main character, Leah, finds herself on the run as she escapes her abusive and powerful husband, Warren. The only place she can think of to hide out is at her high school boyfriend, Steve’s old house, which she learned is currently sitting vacant. Imagine her surprise when he shows up and even offers to help her out of her predicament. But Warren’s reach is long and they soon find themselves on the run. With nowhere to turn, and no one to trust can they ever hope to free her from her nightmare?
I would first like to state that I received this free through NetGalley for an honest review. At novella length, this is a perfect beach read or for a lazy afternoon. The action was non-stop in this. The characters were genuine and well developed. The chemistry between the two protagonists was good and the love scenes steamy. I’ve always loved Rebecca York’s work and she did not disappoint. While it was a little predictable at times, my biggest complaint was that it wasn’t longer as I would have loved to see more background story. Although as is I tore through this in less than an hour since I didn’t want to put it down. Definitely looking forward to her next masterpiece.
