Quest for Earth is a futuristic sci-fi romance. The main character, Sherise, is sister to the leader of her people – The Darkons. She had spent years as a prisoner on the planet of Gazood along with many Earthlings. After escaping their captivity, they set off for Earth. Sherise had vowed to return her comrades to their homeworld. When the Darkon ship entered the vortex, disaster strikes and sends them farther off course than any of them could have ever imagined. They eventually make it to Earth, but much is changed. She soon finds herself at the mercy of the leader of the Lycanean warriors. Can she and her companions ever hope to find their way in this new and dangerous environment?
I would first like to state that I received this through NetGalley for an honest review. This was a decent tale overall. The plot had plenty of action and the characters were fairly well developed. The romance however, just fell a bit short of the mark in my opinion. The hero of the tale, Maaka, was a bit too much of a neanderthal for my tastes and the love scenes were – for lack of a better term – bland. The relationship as a whole was unbelievable and I found myself not caring whether they persevered or not. However, the storyline was interesting enough to salvage it. I just wish that more of the issues within the plot had been resolved toward the end.
